The Emergency Stove is your kitchen’s backup plan. A single-burner butane cooktop that needs no electricity, no gas line, no matches and no good news from the utility company. Lock in a cartridge, turn the dial, press the ignition — and you have a real, controllable flame going outside your back door. The same kind of heat you had twenty minutes ago, except this one lives in a hard case on a closet shelf.

And on every ordinary weekend in between, it is the stove that goes out to the tailgate, the campsite, the fish fry and the rental with a range nobody can figure out.

Why this one, and not a $12 camp burner

• 2.1 kW of genuine cooking power (about 7,160 BTU/h). Enough burner behind the pan to hold a rolling boil and actually cook on — not a hand-warmer with a pot balanced on top.
• Integrated piezo safety ignition. Push to light. No matches, no lighter, no fumbling with wet hands in the dark.
• Cartridge safety-lock lever. The cartridge seats and locks with one motion, so it is either locked in correctly or it is not in at all. Nothing to cross-thread, nothing to guess about.
• Precise dial flame control. Open it up for a fast boil, dial it back to a simmer that will not scorch the pan. You are cooking, not just burning fuel.
• Durable stainless-steel burner. The part that lives in the flame is built to sit in storage for years and then get used hard for a week straight.
• CE-certified. Model TT-498, MS-111A series, with a printed manual in the case — a certified appliance, not an unmarked mystery import.
• Fuel you can already buy anywhere. Runs on standard 8 oz (227 g) butane cartridges from the camping aisle, the hardware store or online. Keep a few on the shelf and you have a fuel supply instead of a gamble. (Cartridge not included.)
• It stores itself. Closes into its own hard carry case, 345 × 290 × 90 mm, that slides onto a closet shelf, into a truck box or under a bench seat and stays clean until the day it earns its keep.

Nobody buys a stove during the outage

They try. Then they find the camping aisle already stripped by the people who bought theirs on a quiet Tuesday, for the price of one takeout dinner, weeks before the storm had a name. Preparedness is cheap in advance and simply unavailable on demand. That is the entire trade.
